Winter Quarter 2021
Equipment Access
We are currently facilitating equipment checkouts primarily for classes in the arts, virtual arts programming on campus, and studio work at the Logan Center. Please inquire with us if you are interested in using the Media Center's resources but your work does not fall into one of these categories, as we are currently offering virtual General Access Orientations on a limited basis. If you have any questions about access or support for a specific project or class, please contact us at loganmediacenter@uchicago.edu.
Space Access
The Logan Center is not yet open to all members of the University community, and access is being granted on a per-department, per-class, or per-unit basis. However, our edit suites, production facilities, and classrooms are open to students, staff, and faculty who have been approved for access to the Logan Center. Please help us keep this community safe by maintaining appropriate social distancing and following disinfection protocols when you are in these spaces.
Adobe & Software Access
While our edit suites and computer lab are open for those with building access, we are unfortunately unable to extend Adobe Creative Cloud or any other software licenses to General Access users outside of our facilities for use on personal computers. Remote access to Adobe for this quarter will be granted only for coursework in select classes and facilitated through academic departments.

About the Logan Media Center
A joint effort of the Humanities Division, Information Technology Services (ITS), and the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, the Jonathan Logan Family Foundation Media Center (LMC) supports the arts at UChicago by providing AV equipment, production space, software, and technical training.
Our equipment and facilities are available to University of Chicago students, staff, and faculty for artistic creation and teaching. We support the curricular needs of courses in the arts; individual student and faculty artists, co-curricular and extracurricular arts organizations on campus; and other campus artists with the approval of LMC staff. In addition, we work with our campus and community partners to provide AV support for events that take place at the Logan Center.
