University Theater is open to all current University of Chicago students, regardless of major. Every quarter is a new opportunity to get involved and start learning, making friends, and making art!

Auditioning isn't the only way to get involved. The whole show is open to you, from the first draft to closing curtain. We're looking for production managers, stage managers, directors, lights, sound, scenery, costume, props, and stagehands, just to name a few. Learn more about designing.

We also need people in front of the stage. Our Street Team distributes posters and table tents across campus, and our Ushers welcome our audience into our spaces. Both teams offer one free ticket to every UT show of the quarter. If you're interested in Street Team, email our marketing manager. Email our front of house manager for more info on Ushering.

For even more opportunities, and the weekly gossip, you can join the University Theater listhost.
