Logan Center School Matinees

Is it possible for my school to stay at the Logan Center for lunch following the School Matinee?

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we do not have the capacity to accommodate schools for lunch following the school matinee. We will have a few opportunities for small groups of students to have more in depth conversations following the performances. Groups will be selected on a rotating basis.

How many School Matinee programs can my school attend in the 2014/15 Season?

Each school is eligible to reserve tickets for up to 3 school matinees in the 2014/15 Season. We will maintain a waiting list for each matinee and in the event that space is available we will invite schools to attend additional performances.

How far in advance do I need to cancel a school reservation in order to not receive a penalty?

Cancellations for school matinees must be made at least 30 days prior to the scheduled performance. If schools do not provide adequate notice they will become ineligible to attend another school matinee during the 2014/15 season.

What is the Logan Center's address?

915 E. 60th Street, Chicago, IL 60637.

Can I make my own transportation arrangements to and from the School Matinee?

In order for the Logan Center to continue to provide free bus transportation to participating schools we ask that teachers do not make their own travel arrangements to and from the Logan Center. The Logan Center makes all reservations through bus companies frequently used by CPS. If you have questions regarding the bus company reserved for your trip please contact Dominique L. Boyd at dominiquelboyd@uchicago.edu.

How many teachers need to represent my school at the Teacher Professional Development Session?

The Teacher Professional Development Session is an opportunity for teachers to receive in depth information regarding the scope each School Matinee Performance. We ask that 2 to 3 teachers are present to represent each school.
