• Photographs must be of Chicago-based musicians or related subject matter (e.g., images of the audience at a jazz festival) in the Chicago area.
• Each image must have been captured on or after August 1, 2010.
• You may not submit photographs that have been used for album or CD covers, or that musicians, venues, or organizations have used for promotional purposes on an authorized basis.

• Photographs must be submitted online as JPGs (no more than 5 MB per photograph) at uchicago.slideroom.com/#/permalink/program/26227 by midnight, Monday, August 17, 2015. Please include photographer name and photo title in the filename (e.g. “Last Name.Photo Title.jpg”).
• When submitting files you must provide:
  • photographer name;
  • photo title;
  • name of musician(s) in the image (if applicable);
  • year image was taken;
  • brief description; and
  • award category – see below.

Each photographer retains the copyright of his/her images. Each photographer grants the Logan Center a non-exclusive license to reproduce the files for internal purposes to facilitate jury review. The Logan Center may use certain images to promote the exhibition. When submitting your image you will be asked to indicate if the Logan Center has permission to use your image(s) for marketing and communications purposes and/or to provide a digital copy to the media if requested. You are not required to provide image(s) for use by the Logan Center or outside media for marketing and communications purposes. Your decision to provide or not provide permission will not impact the decisions of the exhibition jury.

• If one or more of your photographs is accepted for exhibition, you must provide a framed copy of each image by Friday, September 18, 2015.
• Framed photographs should not exceed a frame dimension of 22 inches by 28 inches.
• If you do not regularly print and frame your photographs, the Logan Center will be happy to provide recommendations on where to print and frame your images.

The Logan Center is a relatively secure environment, but it is a public space. Each photographer assumes the risk of loss in the event one or more of his/her images are lost, stolen, or damaged. In such event, each photographer agrees to hold the Logan Center, the University of Chicago, and their employees, independent contractors, and other agents harmless.
