“For me, there is a subtlety and regalness to this practice of yoga concentrated on the breath and developing and channeling the internal energy that has roots in all African systems of healing.”—Frank Mitchell
The philosophic principals of Kemetic Yoga place emphasis on Maat, the rejuvenation of the entire body and mind, and teaches you the skill with which to ease yourself into postures. Most importantly, Kemetic Yoga emphasizes control of Shu (“the breath”). The breath is the life force, and we use the breath to “flow” through the movements from one posture to the next.
