Description
Chicago-based bassist and composer Joshua Abrams, and Tomeka Reid and Dave Rempis have been vital players in Chicago's creative music landscape for the past 20 years. Individually they have appeared on over 200 albums and have toured throughout North America, Europe, Brazil, Russia and Japan. In recent years, Abrams has released four records on eremite records under the rubric of Natural Information Society, Reid has issued The Tomeka Reid Quartet on Thirsty Ear and co-leads the collective trio, Hear In Now, and Rempis continues to work & record with the Rempis Percussion Quartet and has released many albums on his label, Aerophonic Records. This will be the trio's third performance.
Weekly performances are part of the RARE EARTH exhibition on view at the Arts Incubator at Arts + Public Life. Local DJs and musicians take the stage at the outdoor pavilion featuring a vintage CTA passenger bus as backdrop to a dynamic, urban sound-scape.
