The GreenLight Series illuminates the varied performing arts disciplines producing work in the Green Line Arts Center. Arts + Public Life (APL) invites audiences to experience a rotating sample of storytelling, music performances, comedy, theater, and dance works presented by ensembles, collectives and individuals.

To kickoff the GreenLight series, Arts + Public Life will showcase Chicago’s multi-faceted storytelling community, presenting a range of Chicago communities, storytelling styles and oral traditions. 

Grown Folks Stories is two hours of five minute stories that range from the hilarious to the absolutely somber. Come join this ever-popular gathering of nonprofessional, unrehearsed storytellers, who give us the real stories we live everyday. There is no theme, no judging, no poetry, no readings. It's storytelling that you've never experienced before.
