Description

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED. International House welcomes Juan González, award-winning journalist and co-host of Democracy Now! for a conversation about his book, Harvest of Empire: A History of Latinos in America, and the major waves of immigration from Latin America to the United States. Harvest of Empire incisively reveals the forces behind immigration that continue to play out today. Presented by the International House Global Voices Program, the Latinx Student Association (LSA) of SSA, the Office of the Dean of Students of SSA, the Seminary Co-op Bookstore, the Center for Latin American Studies, Center for the Study of Race, Politics, and Culture, the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, the Graduate Council, and the Latino Policy Forum.
