Peter McDonald is a UK-based Irish poet, whose Collected Poems appeared in 2012. Subsequently, his volume Herne the Hunter was published in 2016, along with his verse translation, The Homeric Hymns. He is also a critic and editor: his book Sound Intentions: The Workings of Rhyme in Nineteenth-Century Poetry was published in 2012, and the first volume of his Complete Poems of W.B. Yeats will be published in 2020. He is Professor of British and Irish Poetry at the University of Oxford.
