Arts, Science & Culture Initiative at the Commons (KU & the Spencer Museum of Art)

At the end of November, the Arts, Science & Culture Initiative participated in a roundtable discussion at The Commons, hosted by Kansas University and the Spencer Museum of Art, as part of their Arts Research Collaboration programming.

The afternoon consisted of a presentation by experimental physicist Paolo Giubellino, who leads ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), and a roundtable conversation between Saralyn Hardy (Spencer Museum of Art), Paolo Giubellino (CERN), Agnes Mocsy (Department of Math & Science, Pratt University), and Marissa Lee Benedict (Arts, Science & Culture Initiative, UChicago) on "Excavating the Universe: Physics Interacts with the Arts."
