Filmmaker Jack Lawrence Mayer, AB’10, discusses what excites him about storytelling and coming around to crowdfunding. The digital series Five-Fingered Lucy follows the success of Mayer's LA Famous and his HBO Digitals comedy series Single Long (now available on HBO Go). Mayer was a co-recipient, with fellow artist David Milton Brent, AB’09, of the prestigious Claire Rosen and Samuel Edes Prize for Emerging Artists in 2012. The $30,000 prize is intended to stimulate the careers of promising artists by providing support sufficient to allow them to devote a full year to their arts practice.
