Each year, the Chicago Center for Contemporary Composition will invite an internationally-renowned composer to take up residency as Distinguished Composer-in-Residence at CCCC.
Guest composers will enhance the current range of pedagogical offerings by providing individual composition lessons to graduate students; participating in CCCC workshops and colloquia, as well as in other scholarly venues across campus; teaching a seminar to advanced graduate and undergraduate composition students; and working with the ensembles-in-residence on performances of new and existing works. Each distinguished guest will add unique artistic perspectives, vitality, and excitement to the intellectual environment of CCCC, the University of Chicago, City of Chicago, and beyond.
